What this site is

We republish disclosure data from the Office of Foreign Labor Certification at the US Department of Labor, joined to the OFLC prevailing wage library. We are not affiliated with the Department of Labor, USCIS, the Department of State or any other agency, and nothing here is an official record.

Information, not advice

Nothing on this site is legal advice or an offer of employment. Whether a particular wage satisfies an employer’s obligations, which wage level applies to a role, and whether any person qualifies for any visa or permanent residence are questions for a licensed immigration attorney and for the agencies themselves. Figures here are what employers filed, which is not the same as what they paid.

What the figures are and are not

A Labor Condition Application states a wage an employer commits to pay at least. On most filings no upper figure is given at all, so a median here is a median of floors, not of salaries. A filing may cover more than one position, so a count of filings is not a count of people. A prevailing wage is the figure for the library year the filing itself cited, which is often not the year current today.

Accuracy

We show what the source files contain, including their errors. Data is refreshed from the published quarterly releases and may lag them. We make no warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a purpose, and we are not liable for decisions made on it. Verify anything that matters against the Department of Labor’s own files.

Permitted use

The underlying government data is in the public domain and you may use it freely. Our arrangement, wording and derived figures are ours; you may quote and link to them with attribution. Do not scrape the site in a way that degrades it for others — the source files are published in bulk and linked from our sources page, which is a better route for any volume of data.

Liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use.
